About the Maker
One Christmas, I unwrapped a Cricut machine, excited to try my hand at vinyl cutting. However, I quickly found out that it wasn't my thing. Determined to explore its capabilities beyond vinyl, I stumbled upon layered papercraft. At first, it was challenging; my initial attempts were a mess, with paper sticking to the mat and tearing. But through persistence and countless trials, I finally mastered the technique. My proudest achievement? Crafting a delightful 3D layered project—a cat, naturally, inspired by my own four felines.

The Spark
Creating layered paper projects as gifts for family and friends (like the one pictured, for my traveling aunt and uncle) sparked an unexpected wave of amazement and admiration. Encouraged by their enthusiastic response, I decided to take a leap of faith. In January 2022, Daybreak Crafts was born, marking the beginning of an exciting journey into the world of crafting and entrepreneurship.
The First Store
Through online searching, I uncovered the potential of gift shops as a platform to showcase my shadowboxes and elevate my brand. So I reached out to numerous local gift shops and consignment stores. Thankfully, I found one, and they welcomed me as a vendor, providing a valuable opportunity to promote my creations.

Another Venue
Upon hearing fellow vendors discuss their success at craft fairs, I felt compelled to experience one firsthand. Participating proved to be an exhilarating experience, as I connected with the many individuals who visited my booth. It was truly gratifying, and led me to sign up for more!
The More, The Merrier
As fate would have it, a woman who had visited my booth at a craft fair contacted me about the possibility of selling my products in her gift shop. In a delightful turn of events, I suddenly found myself expanding into two stores.

Third Time's a Charm
The owner of a nearby coffee shop extends support to local artists by featuring their artwork on the walls of his shop. I was deeply appreciative when he agreed to display my shadowboxes, recognizing the chance to share my creations with a broader audience.
